This interactive program exposes the secrets of effective nonverbal communication and teaches you the skills to implement those tricks to improve your leadership.

Your body is always talking. Telling stories of interest, disinterest, excitement, boredom, anger, confidence and a range of emotions. Do you know how to adjust your posture to reinforce the message you want others to receive? It’s more than words, people’s “vibe” of you is often informed by your body.

We all know that words don’t always match our true feelings. Body language can help us decode the message others are really trying to send. It is a useful tool for listening with our eyes, as well as our ears, in order to best understand our friends, family, coworkers, and clients.

Ms. Mary Moore has been in instructor in the Department of Communication Studies at Ball State University for 15 years. As the Director of the university’s number nationally- ranked speech team, Mary teaches, coaches, and completes research in the area of public speaking and nonverbal communication. She has received numerous awards and honors for his teaching and coaching over the past fifteen years, including most recently the 2013 College of Communication & Media outstanding teacher of the year award, 2015 extraordinary service award, and the 2014 Department of Communication Studies excellence in service award.
Instructor of Communication Studies, Ball State University
Mr. Michael Storr is an instructor in the Department of Communication Studies at Ball State. He also serves as Co-Director of the public communication course required of all students. In addition to his teaching, Michael also coaches the Ball State Speech Team and has been actively involved in competitive public speaking for 20 years. In the past seven years, Mike has helped coach four different programs into the top teams recognized in college competition.
